What is up?

Hi! We’re Gkazas Olive Oil. A young company where hard work is valued, but a bit of fun is always welcome, too. We’re a fresh and informal team that loves the diversity of tasks and freedom the company offers. This makes Gkazas an ambitious scale-up with a mission to bring the delicious olive oil from the Gkazas family and friendly farmers to the Netherlands with a lot of love. Our Greek olive oil is unfiltered, organic, cold-pressed, not mixed with other oils, and free of additives: a pure and honest family product.

In just seven years, Gkazas has become one of the most widely used Greek olive oils in the Benelux. We’re super proud that our olive oil is available in over 1,000 stores in the Netherlands and Belgium, and that we’re well-represented online too. To ensure we serve all our customers well, we’re expanding our team and looking for a Hospitality Account Manager.

Alright, sounds good. What can I do?

A hospitality account manager is communicative, self-driven, and takes responsibility. This Gkazas team member always follows through on commitments and ensures punctuality. Naturally, you might encounter challenges along the way, but how you handle them is key. The aim is to do your best in every situation and keep communication with the team as open as possible. It’s essential to make realistic agreements that you can stick to.

The essence of the role is retaining current customers and bringing in new hospitality clients. This means being assertive. You’ll create your own routes, visit restaurants and cafés, chat with chefs, make follow-up calls, and acquire new accounts this way. You’ll be partly based in our office in the A’DAM Tower, but you’ll also regularly be out on the road to visit (potential) clients.

What are the requirements

  • You are available full-time
  • You have a higher vocational (HBO) level of thinking and working
  • A driver’s license is required
  • You don’t need tons of experience. If you’re young, enthusiastic, and creative, the number of years you’ve worked means nothing to us
  • If you have an extensive network in the Dutch and/or Belgian hospitality world, the contract is ready for you to sign
  • Good knowledge of Apple, iOS, and Mac is a plus
  • You have experience with Word, Excel, PowerPoint or Keynote, and CRM systems—Salesforce experience is a plus
  • You have proven experience or a strong passion for sales—you could sell snow to an Eskimo at the North Pole
  • You’ve seen the movie *Wolf of Wall Street* at least 23 times and know it backwards and forwards
  • You’re comfortable with working from home or an evening shift
  • You are communicative (read: sociable and not a stick-in-the-mud)
  • You follow through on commitments and take responsibility
  • You understand the importance of direct contact with the end consumer and are open to hosting tastings, demonstrations, or markets (anywhere in the country)
  • A knack for writing is a plus, especially if that pen writes flawless Dutch
  • A bit of English, spoken or written, would also come in handy now and then

What do I get in return?

  • You receive a competitive salary
  • You work at the most ambitious olive oil company in the Netherlands
  • A workspace in the A’DAM Tower (across from Amsterdam Central Station)
  • An annual trip to Crete
