How we make a big impact with small biodegradable pipettes
From in-flight meals, to meal kits prepared at home, to ready-to-eat salads at the supermarket and in restaurants. Conservatively estimated, we are replacing tens of millions of single-serve plastic pipettes. The impact?
Plastic waste
By replacing 50 million pipettes per year, each weighing 2 grams, we save 100,000 kilograms of plastic (100 tons). That’s the equivalent of 10 fully loaded trucks filled with plastic!
CO₂ savings
100 tons of plastic at 6 kg CO₂/kg equals 600 tons of CO₂. This is equivalent to 4,000 round-trip flights Amsterdam–Barcelona or 3 million car kilometers!

What is the olive oil pipette made of? Our olive oil pipette is made entirely from seaweed and other natural materials. They are 100% biodegradable and return to nature without leaving any harmful residue.
How long does it take for the pipettes to break down? In a natural environment, the pipettes decompose within a few weeks. This is a huge difference compared to plastic, which can persist for generations and leave behind harmful microplastics.
Are the pipettes safe to use with food? Yes! The pipettes are completely food-safe and tested for use with our olive oil. They are therefore perfect for enriching your pizza, salad, or pasta in a sustainable way.
