Most people agree on this: extra virgin olive oil is the healthiest type of olive oil. It comes from the first pressing, made without chemical processes. It’s free from additives and produced in the most effective way to retain maximum flavor and nutrients. To qualify as extra virgin, the acidity must not exceed 0.8 percent.
